Who will make the final squad for Jesse Marsch's CanMNT 🇨🇦 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup? Gareth Wheeler, Jordan Wilson and Kristian Jack make their picks ahead of the squad reveal later this month.

On this special edition of MATCH NIGHT, Kristian Jack, Gareth Wheeler and Jordan Wilson go through every position and make their choices for the 26-player Canadian Men's National Team squad they'd like to see at the 2026 World Cup.

Here's a rundown of each panelist's selections:

Kj's 26

While injuries to Alfie Jones and Promise David could threaten their availability this summer, positive progress for both talents have Kristian Jack picking these two ahead of fitter options – a preference of quality over reliability with an eye toward game-changers who could turn results in the very limited minutes a tournament offers.

Wheeler's Xi

Gareth Wheeler, meanwhile, has Zorhan Bassong in to cover for Alphonso Davies as a natural LB, with Jacen Russell-Rowe preferred up top, and James Pantemis as the third 'keeper ahead of Owen Goodman – form over future function in this spot.

Jordan Wilson's 26

Jordan Wilson's picks – Kamal Miller at the back and Jacob Shaffelburg out wide – focus on reliability and utility. Shaffelburg has proven himself a handful for opposing defenders during Marsch's tenure at the helm, while Miller may be a more seamless option to step into a backline spot due to his experience with the team.

With much of the rest of the squad unchanged between the three, the real battle for spots seems to be limited to less than a handful of positions and options. Who will Jesse Marsch ultimately choose? We're set to find out on May 29 at 7PM ET / 4PM PT when the World Cup squad is finally revealed.
