RECAP + HIGHLIGHTS: FC Supra du Québec vs. Vancouver FC | October 10, 2026

Highlights

With only a handful of seconds remaining, FC Supra were leading 2-1 thanks to a fantastic goal from Mlah, who unleashed a powerful volley from inside the box that gave Callum Irving no chance (2-1, 88th minute).

That same Callum Irving stepped up to take a last-gasp free kick from around 40 metres out, with Joakim Milli guarding the Supra goal. His long ball, with virtually the entire Vancouver FC team inside the box, found the top of Mateo Campagna’s head before ending up in the back of Milli’s net (2-2, 90+6).

At 2-2, Vancouver FC’s bench erupted in celebration. The point allowed the British Columbia side to hold on to fourth place, the final playoff spot, and keep their destiny in their own hands.

They remain two points ahead of FC Supra. Vancouver will now look to secure its playoff berth by hosting Halifax Wanderers before travelling to face Cavalry.

That outcome had not necessarily looked inevitable, as Vancouver FC had spent much of the first half under pressure. They fell behind early following another superb goal from Loïc Kwemi, his 15th of the season.

Set up by Ibrahim Condé, Kwemi picked up the ball on the right side of the box and used a few stepovers to wrong-foot his defender before unleashing a thunderous shot under Irving’s crossbar (1-0, 8th minute).

In the first half, Supra were the better side despite allowing their opponents to have more of the ball. Vancouver’s problem was that they never really knew what to do with it.

Martin Nash’s men returned from the break with much greater intent.

They began spending far more time in Supra’s half and eventually equalized following a lapse in concentration from Charles Auguste, who failed to step up quickly enough and played Terran Campbell onside. The striker, who had been largely anonymous until then, caught Milli off guard with a relatively weak shot and, truth be told, did not appear entirely convinced himself. Yet he was onside under the new offside rule being trialled in the Canadian Premier League, which stipulates that the attacking player’s entire body must be beyond the defender’s to be considered offside (1-1).

This equalizer set the stage for a thrilling finish. Vancouver FC’s late equalizer was not undeserved, however, especially considering that Mousset came within inches of scoring one of the goals of the season with a superb volley shortly before Mlah’s goal.

The result was nevertheless a cruel one for Supra, who remain in fifth place, two points behind Vancouver. A draw that “felt like a defeat” for Kyt Selaidopoulos, but one that he believes will help the team “continue to grow.”

The season is far from over. Two matches remain: Supra will host Inter Toronto before travelling to Halifax on the final matchday. They must win both games and hope Vancouver FC slip up if they are to overtake them.

Martin Nash knows it: “It’ll be a big game against Halifax next week,” he said, adding that “the end of the season promises to be interesting.”

Only one playoff spot remains available, and the battle for it is heating up.
