Forge FC, CF Montréal set to clash in 2026 TELUS Canadian Championship final 🇨🇦 🏆

For a sixth straight TELUS Canadian Championship tournament, Forge FC will meet CF Montréal, but this time the Voyageurs Cup is on the line. 

The two clubs clash in the 2026 CanChamp final at Stade Saputo in Montréal on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Forge will look to make history as the first Canadian Premier League club to win the tournament. 

CF Montréal stunned the Vancouver Whitecaps, who have won four straight editions of the competition, 2-0 on Tuesday night at Stade Saputo, to win their semifinal 3-1 on aggregate.

Montréal are five-time Canadian champions, most recently in 2021, prior to the Whitecaps winning the next four. 

Forge's lone appearance in the final came in the pandemic-delayed 2020 final, played in 2022 at Hamilton Stadium. They lost on penalties to Toronto FC. 

The Hammers, however, have eliminated CF Montréal in each of the past two tournaments, both in the quarterfinal round. 

This will be the third straight opponent from Québec that Forge play in this year's Canadian Championship, after defeating CS Saint-Laurent in the quarterfinals and FC Supra du Québec in the semis. They also defeated the Halifax Wanderers in the opening round. 

Montréal, meanwhile, began this year's tournament by defeating Alberta Premier League side Calgary Blizzard SC before besting both Vancouver FC and the Whitecaps. 

Kick-off time for the final has not yet been announced, but the match will be broadcast nationally on TSN, RDS and OneSoccer.
