Cyle Larin signs with Feyenoord on loan | CanMNT deadline day roundup

After spending the better part of three seasons in LaLiga, Canadian striker Cyle Larin is joining Dutch giants Feyenoord on a transfer deadline day loan from Mallorca.
The Dutch club announced the signing on Tuesday, also confirming that Larin will wear the number 10.
Larin scored 14 times in all competitions over the past two seasons for Mallorca, but his name became heavily mentioned in transfer speculation ahead of this season. Larin was not part of Mallorca’s squad for the opening three weeks of the Spanish campaign.
Feyenoord are a club with plenty of history, as 16-time Dutch champions, most recently in 2022-23. They were European Champions back in 1969-70, defeating Celtic in the final.
The move will also provide Larin an opportunity to work with a world-class striker in his day, as Feyenoord’s head coach is former Dutch international Robin van Persie.
The Dutch side currently sit third in the table, and will be involved in this year’s UEFA Europa League after losing to Fenerbahçe in Champions League qualifiers last month.
Larin has also scored 30 times in 86 matches for the Canadian men’s national team. Only Juventus striker Jonathan David has scored more for the country on the men's side.
