CanMNT FORM GUIDE 🇨🇦 It's Dayne vs. Max in MLS, as Eustáquio shines with a BANGER for LAFC 📈

Tuesday will mark 100 days until the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off, as the sprint for spots on Canada’s tournament roster reaches its final leg. Here's how CanMNT 🇨🇦 stars are performing at their clubs.

Tuesday will mark 100 days until the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off, as the sprint for spots on Canada’s tournament roster reaches its final leg.

As such, every performance, goal, assist and save is going to be analyzed like never before – especially in the lead up to critical home preparation friendlies later this month against Iceland and Tunisia.

Here is a look at all the key action involving Canadian national team players this past week:

St. Clair - Crépeau go head-to-head in Florida derby

When it was unveiled that not only would Canada’s top two keepers, Dayne St. Clair and Max Crépeau, be moving to new clubs this off-season, but that those clubs were in the same state, it set up a pretty ideal way to analyze the national team’s most competitive and debated positional battle.

For the first time, on Sunday, the two goalkeepers stood in opposing nets as Orlando City hosted Inter Miami, and, well, it probably wasn’t the most helpful frame of reference. Crépeau finished with four saves, a few of them spectacular, but allowed four goals in a 4-2 loss. St. Clair, meanwhile, made three saves but allowed a pair of goals that he’d surely love to have back.

Let’s all be fully honest here, a one-game head-to-head matchup was never actually going to be that big of a difference maker in Marsch’s ultimate World Cup starter decision. But the form of both is definitely worth keeping an eye on, especially as St. Clair, in particular, has had a bit of a rough start to life in Miami.

Eustáquio opens LAFC account with a stunning strike from distance

When he joined LAFC during the winter window on loan, Stephen Eustáquio said that he felt that he needed the club, and the minutes they could provide, more than they needed him. Well, so far, the deal seems to be pretty mutually beneficial.

The Canadian international looks right at home in the black and gold of one of MLS’s premier clubs, and scored his first league goal with a long-range banger in a 2-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday. With some silky passes in midfield and now this goal, it is certainly looking like Canada’s general in the middle of the park is back in form at a crucial time.

Eustáquio already has 287 minutes under his belt with the LA club in four matches, which is over half of what he was given in all competitions with Porto since the start of the 2025-26 season. It is already more than the 182 league minutes he earned in just eight appearances.
