Canada Soccer announces March home matches in Toronto as CanMNT's "Road to 2026" takes shape
Canada Soccer has announced that Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team (CANMNT) will play Iceland and Tunisia in a pair of international friendlies at BMO Field in Toronto on Saturday, 28 March and Tuesday, 31 March 2026, as part of its preparations for FIFA World Cup 26™
“These matches are an important part of our preparation for the World Cup, and having the chance to play them at home is huge for us. We know how much energy Canadian fans bring, and we’re looking forward to big crowds at BMO Field pushing the team as we continue our Road to 2026.” - Jesse Marsch, MLS Canada Head Coach of the Men’s National Team.
To ensure these FIFA World Cup preparation matches could be played in Canada, Canada Soccer also arranged two supplementary matches for both opponents. Iceland and Tunisia will each also play against Haiti. Canada’s match against Iceland will be presented by GE Appliances Canada and Canada’s match against Tunisia will be presented by Visa Canada.
