The Canadian men's national team kicked off their 2026 calendar with a 1-0 win over Guatemala, with Jacen Russell-Rowe scoring an excellent header off Malik Henry's perfect cross to find the difference between these two sides at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
The January window, affectionately nicknamed "Camp Poutine", featured a heavily-rotated squad mainly made up of players from Major League Soccer and the Canadian Premier League, saw plenty of debuts, including for Inter Toronto FC star Shola Jimoh Halifax, Atlético Ottawa defender Noah Abatneh and Halifax Wanderers striker Tiago Coimbra.
