Both semi-finals will be available live on OneSoccer. The single-match final will be played on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Forge's 3-2 aggregate victory over CF Montréal, who had defeated Toronto FC earlier in the competition, guaranteed that at least one Canadian Premier League side will be in the 2025 final. It is the first time that three Canadian Premier League sides have reached the semi-final round.
It is the second-ever time that a CPL club will play in the final, after Forge fell on penalties to Toronto FC in the Covid-delayed 2020 final in Hamilton -- played in 2022. Forge reached the final that year by winning the 2020 CPL Island Games, however, so this is the first time a CPL club will advance to the final through a traditional tournament.
Both Atlético Ottawa and Vancouver FC reached the semi-final for the first time in club history. Vancouver, by winning back-to-back rounds on penalties, against rivals Pacific FC in the preliminary round, and Cavalry FC in the quarter-finals. Atleti, meanwhile, advanced past Scrosoppi FC and York United, respectively.
Forge defeated the Halifax Wanderers in the preliminary round, before eliminating CF Montréal for a second consecutive year in the quarter-final. The Whitecaps, as defending champions, were given a bye through the preliminary round before narrowly defeating Valour in the quarters.
Full dates and times for both semi-finals will be confirmed at a later time.
