Canadian Championship
A draw completed on Wednesday revealed that the Vancouver Whitecaps will play Forge to compete in and host the 2025 Final. First-time semi-finalists Vancouver FC and Atlético Ottawa, meanwhile, battle in the other semi.

On Wednesday night, Canada Soccer held its draw to determine the semi-final and final rounds of the 2025 TELUS Canadian Championship.

Atlético Ottawa battle Vancouver FC in the first all-Canadian Premier League semi-final in Canadian Championship history, while the Vancouver Whitecaps, continuing their quest for a fourth consecutive title, face Forge FC. The winner between the  Whitecaps and Forge hosts the 2025 final.

A draw was held on Wednesday night to determine the semi-final matchups and hosting rights for the 2025 TELUS Canadian Championship. Here is the full semi-final schedule:

Semi-Final 1

  • First Leg: Forge FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC – August 13, 2025 (7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT) at Hamilton Stadium (Hamilton, ON)
  • Second Leg: Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. Forge FC – September 16, 2025 (10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT) at BC Place Stadium (Vancouver, BC)

Semi-Final 2

  • First Leg: Vancouver FC vs. Atlético Ottawa – August 13, 2025 (10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT) at Willoughby Stadium (Langley, BC)
  • Second Leg: Atlético Ottawa vs. Vancouver FC– Date TBD, Time TBD, Location TBD.

Both semi-finals will be available live on OneSoccer. The single-match final will be played on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Forge's 3-2 aggregate victory over CF Montréal, who had defeated Toronto FC earlier in the competition, guaranteed that at least one Canadian Premier League side will be in the 2025 final. It is the first time that three Canadian Premier League sides have reached the semi-final round.

It is the second-ever time that a CPL club will play in the final, after Forge fell on penalties to Toronto FC in the Covid-delayed 2020 final in Hamilton -- played in 2022. Forge reached the final that year by winning the 2020 CPL Island Games, however, so this is the first time a CPL club will advance to the final through a traditional tournament.

Both Atlético Ottawa and Vancouver FC reached the semi-final for the first time in club history. Vancouver, by winning back-to-back rounds on penalties, against rivals Pacific FC in the preliminary round, and Cavalry FC in the quarter-finals. Atleti, meanwhile, advanced past Scrosoppi FC and York United, respectively.

Forge defeated the Halifax Wanderers in the preliminary round, before eliminating CF Montréal for a second consecutive year in the quarter-final. The Whitecaps, as defending champions, were given a bye through the preliminary round before narrowly defeating Valour in the quarters.

Full dates and times for both semi-finals will be confirmed at a later time.
